About the TU-142 Aircraft Museum
The TU-142 Aircraft Museum is a seafront aviation museum built around a retired TU-142M that served the Indian Navy for 30 years before decommissioning.
The museum opened in 2017 on Dr. N.T.R. Beach Road. The aircraft is the central outdoor landmark, while an exhibition hall displays equipment and components associated with its service, including sonobuoys, a propeller, an engine, a survival kit, an anti-submarine missile and a date recorder.
A flight-simulator platform offers a VR-headset experience. Across the road, the Kursura Submarine Museum gives the area a second military-history stop; the INS Kurusura Submarine Museum is directly opposite.

How do you get to the museum?

The museum is on Dr. N.T.R. Beach Road, opposite the Kursura Submarine Museum, making the seafront location easy to identify once you reach the area.
The district government gives the distance as 18 km from Visakhapatnam International Airport and 5 km from Visakhapatnam Railway Station. From the RTC Complex, it is also 5 km; bus, auto and cab are listed as travel options from there.
From Hotel Diamonds Pearl, the museum is about 16 minutes by car; you can pair the visit with the Kursura Submarine Museum across the road. The hotel also offers rooms at this three-star hotel.
Which waterfront stops can you pair with your visit?

Ramakrishna Beach is a nearby waterfront sight that Incredible India describes as a short walk from the museum. You can combine the aircraft visit with time along the shoreline; the Ramakrishna Beach promenade runs through the same seafront area.
The Kursura Submarine Museum is opposite the TU-142 museum, so it is the closest complementary attraction to add to your plans. Victory at Sea 1971 and Vishaka Museum are also named local landmarks in this Beach Road area.
